My inception into this guild ,was more of a recruiting spree, Though the guild was full of members, 89% of them were innactive members, of these they seemed to have not logged in for over a year or more.
Personally, I would have at least let these "afk" players go, to make room for those eager to join, and have fun with others. We weren't much starting out from this guild, but I soon learned that the current Guild master wasn't much of a leader.
For posterity, I cannot exactly disclose his true Identity however, he has had several aliases that he associated himself by:
(If you are reading this, you know who exactly who you are, be thankful that at least I gave you that much unanimity.)
- Boros Phoenix
- The mad Piper of Hamelin
- Loser
- Atari 2600
- Spencer
- Jaggi
From this point on, those of us that, at one time or another, tried to be civil with this individual
Resulted instead in having to deal with agonizing issues, situations that either resulted in an all out Rage for no apparent reason or, the complete opposite: complete and total breakdown.
That wasn't the bad part, the Horrific part of our friendship was his constant talking about
Magic the gathering.
He prided himself , as the very best, often made quirky comments and reference to MTG.
Then, there were always these sort of "Delusions", if you will about himself:
- He always believed that he was better than others.
- He always dreamed about power, success and attractiveness.
that maybe at least I could bring his feet back to the ground, my efforts were unfruitful.
- He exaggerated his achievements or talents.
However, his exaggerations soon got the best of him. I Understand that everyone has hopes and dreams,
but, come-on, action speaks louder than words.
- He always expected constant praise and admiration.
- He always believed that he was something special and acted accordingly.
- He always failed to recognize other people's emotions and feelings
- He always expected others to go along with his ideas and plans
As he demanded that everyone MUST follow his way, or else. This was the turning point for me, I knew that
I had to get out quickly, I was starting to understand why "HIS" guild was composed on Non-active players.
- When he could, He took advantage of others, even myself.
The rest of the statements are pretty much self-explanatory:
- He always expressed disdain for those he felt that were inferior
- He was constantly jealous of others.
- He always expressed that others were always jealous of him
- He never really kept any healthy relationships
- He often expressed unrealistic goals
- He was so easily hurt and rejected
- He also had a fragile self-esteem
- He always acted tough-minded or unemotional
Like WTH?, In one token he asks for specific feedback from all us, and later deemed us all "Spies"??
The last straw was then more of a shocker, It was based on the fact all those that refused to agree, and to support him, were cast out, And it's like he said to any of us , - ' Oh by the way.."
As one can expect from so many, who exactly is this person? Again ,out of respect I cannot disclose who exactly he is, most of us that were expendable to him assisted him in the utmost, and the best to our ability without expecting anything in return from him, that's how it should be, or at least that's what real friends do.Instead he decided to throw All of us "Under the bus"
If you have read this far into this blogg, I can say this much, that is, If you want to find this person:
His games of choice are mostly MAGIC THE GATHERING & TF2 and maybe some Elsword.
